The question each article should resolve
A list of pass names is not enough. A guide should explain what to compare for an itinerary, what is needed before booking or where and how to collect the right ticket. Articles open with an answer, develop the reasoning and steps, and link to official checks. Tables, examples and checklists are designed to help readers make a decision or finish a preparation task.
Source priority
- Rail operators' and official sellers' product pages, price tables and terms.
- Official reservation, collection and refund manuals and change notices.
- The guide's comparisons and calculation examples based on those sources.
Search queries, autocomplete questions and other sites' summaries do not establish current fares, sales status or seat availability. Questions help identify subjects to explain; they are not evidence for the answer.
Edition and verification scope
The English edition has 23 guides and 56 answered FAQs. The Korean edition covers the same guide topics and has 39 answered FAQs; English articles include additional explanations for English-language travel questions. Different question counts do not change a rail product's conditions.
Check the article's source-review date and the dates recorded for individual sources. An editing date, a source-check date and the date a rail operator's rule takes effect may differ. Updating a section does not mean every product was checked again that day. Reading a source does not constitute a live fare search or a seat reservation for your travel date.
Examples, conflicting documents and uncertainty
Hypothetical itineraries and amounts are labelled as examples. Real fare examples include their conditions and reference basis. If official documents differ, the product, purchase channel and effective date are considered separately. An unresolved difference is not converted into a single definitive rule.
Authorship and AI assistance
Railnote is the operator's and author's pen name. AI assists with organising research, writing, editing, translation and site implementation. Generated text is not itself evidence, and unverified journeys or professional experience are not presented as firsthand credentials.
Images and external material
Explanatory diagrams illustrate concepts and preparation steps; they are not screenshots of actual booking systems. Sources and third-party rights are distinguished. Attribution alone is not treated as permission to reuse material.
Correcting an error
Use the correction guidance to send the page URL and supporting evidence. Relevant articles, tables and FAQs are checked against official sources and corrected as needed. Corresponding language versions and source records are also checked where they cover the same issue. Verification dates change only for the scope of a new check.
Variable facts and review deadlines
Prices, channel-specific fees, reservation clocks and counter hours are maintained in shared records for both language editions. A variable-fact check date and next editorial review deadline are shown with the relevant content. The deadline is an editorial plan, not a promise that prices, seats or services remain unchanged until then. Dated works notices have an end time; check the operator for actual day-of-travel conditions.
